Meet Amy

Amy Elvidge
Founder

Amy is a mom on a mission, a sustainable nutrition professional, and a Northern California native living in Toronto. She earned a M.S. in Nutrition Science and Policy from Tufts University and a B.A. in Environmental Science from U.C. Santa Barbara. When she's not in the kitchen, she's running with her Portie, Stella, in the Don River ravine, or playing in Pricefield Park with her son, Sam.

Amy's 5 take-aways since becoming a mom:

  1. Pre-programming your morning coffee feels *almost* like you have your own barista.

  2. You should do the pelvic floor rehab exercises everyone tells you to do.

  3. Silence is ALWAYS suspicious.

  4. Try to make time for yourself everyday, even if it's just 5 minutes of stretching or breathing between bites of food. Your family members will thank you.

  5. Breastfeeding is really tough. It takes practice, patience and dedication. Almost no one has a simple and straight-forward experience. I greatly benefitted from connecting with other moms and professionals for guidance and encouragement.
